The Portsmouth Philharmonic Orchestra's last concert in December raised £380 for the Portsmouth branch of ReadEasy, which seeks to help adults with their literacy.
Featuring music by Bizet, Tchaikovsky and Grieg, among others, the event proved a popular event and was attended by the deputy Lord Mayor Gerald Vernon Jackson and Portsmouth South MP Stephen Morgan.
The orchestra's next concert is scheduled for Sunday March 30 (3pm), at the usual venue of the Church of the Resurrection, Drayton. The programme and ticket details, as well as the charity we will be supporting will be announced in early February.
More than £20,000 has been raised for local charities since the orchestra was founded in 2009. The orchestra is generously sponsored by Bishops Printers, Portsmouth.
